Here it is – a new song by Sar Sargsyan. This time Sar is singing “I know I wasn’t for you "Wiem, że nie byłem dla Ciebie", by well-known Polish artists: Władysław Eiger, who composed the music, and Zenon Friedwald, Joanna Kucharczyk who wrote the lyrics.

This is the second piece sung by Sar in Polish, plus it boasts a wonderful new arrangement by the renowned Armenian musician and composer, Alexandra Maghakyan. The score features the manjut (which translates as “Manuk’s violin”). Similar to the piccolo cello, the instrument has a unique form with no other comparison in the world. It has five strings and features the golden patterns of various classical and national string instruments. The manjut fragment is played by the creator of the instrument and an outstanding Armenian musician, Manuk Harutyunyan, who also developed many other Armenian folk instruments. Mixing and mastering was performed by Miqayael Margaryan. The vocal recording was made at Delphy Records in Warsaw, and the manjut (Manuk's violin) recording was made at MI-Production in Yerevan.

We are extremely grateful to all those in Armenia and Poland who made this recording possible, and who supported Sar throughout the process.

The Armenian baritone Sar Sargsyan, resident in Poland for the last three years and continually developing his Polish repertoire, has recently started working on a new record. The first track to promote the disk is ”A Letter to my Mother”, known primarily for its unforgettable performance by Violetta Villas. The new adaptation of the song focuses on Sargsyan’s yearning for his homeland, additionally accentuated by the typical Armenian arrangement and the use of the duduk, an Armenian folk instrument. The planned record will feature songs by Polish composers and acclaimed Armenian authors with new Polish lyrics. The release has been planned for the latter half of 2020.

On September 13, under the patronage of the Armenian Embassy in Bulgaria, with the support of AGBU-Sofia, a concert dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the great Armenian composer Komitas will be held in the concert hall "Grigor Azaryan" of the Armenian National House in Sofia. Laureates of international competitions Anna Poghosyan /soprano/, Sar Sargsyan /baritone/ and Margarit Sargsyan /piano/ will take part in the concert. The program: Komitas, R. Melikyan, E. Abrahamyan, A. Harutyunyan, B. Kanachyan, A. Achemyan, N. Galanteryan, G. Perperyan, M. Mavisakalyan, P. Afrikyan.
